Lily Gresele | Lifeline WA Youth Ambassador
Lily Gresele has become a passionate advocate for mental health through sharing her own personal battle with anxiety and depression. In stepping into the role as a Lifeline WA Youth Ambassador, Lily hopes to normalise mental health struggles by talking openly about her own journey. The City of Melville’s Young Community Citizen of the Year and former elite gymnast is all too aware of the pressures on young people who may not feel comfortable in picking up the phone to call for help. One of the things Lily is most passionate about is the success of Lifeline’s national crisis text support service, which is increasingly popular with young people who might be more comfortable chatting online. The digital service, which was made possible in WA thanks to the incredible support of Lifeline Australia and The Channel 7 Telethon Trust, answers an average of 176 texts every day.
