Event Volunteering

Volunteer at our events

Our Event Volunteers support Lifeline WA in many different ways –helping to raise funds, assisting at events or carrying out administrative duties. Many volunteers take part in events to have fun and experience large or small public events. In essence, it is a donation of your time, skills and willingness.

Each event is unique – you could find yourself collecting donations, helping set up, selling merchandise or welcoming attendees at one of our more formal, signature events. Whatever your role, you’ll be surrounded by a wonderful volunteer community who are friendly, warm and love meeting new people.

Volunteers are essential to the success of our fundraising events and functions – we couldn’t do it without you. Time commitment 2-8 hours.

Event Volunteering Opportunities:

  • Fundraisers – Assist in fundraising activities and donation collection
  • Administration Assistant – Provide assistance with office activities at Lifeline WA
  • Professional Volunteering – Provide your expertise or unique skills in a pro-bono capacity to Lifeline WA. Opportunities are available for higher education student placements.
  • Corporate Volunteering – Volunteer for Lifeline WA through an organised workplace volunteering program. Event volunteering is a great option if you’re part of a corporate team looking to give back to your local community. Socially responsible organisations can provide formal Lifeline WA volunteering opportunities for their staff that may improve staff morale and provide personal and corporate development opportunities.

Testimonial

“I have been an events volunteer with Lifeline WA for over 3 years and it is wonderful to know that I can give back to an organisation that once helped me in a time of need. Being able to volunteer for Lifeline WA in events is a great way to meet new people while helping an amazing organisation break down stigma and work towards reducing suicide in Australia.”Maya, Lifeline WA Event Volunteer.
